Tattoos (as of January 2007)

I currently have 6 tattoos, and there seems to be no end to wanting more! I am addicted, as most people seem to be once they start down this path. I was not influenced by family or friends to start this - quite the opposite actually. Only a couple of people I knew at the time had tattoos (they were not so prevalent yet then), and no one on either side of my family had any. I was also not your 'typical' type of person to get one - I was a nerdy computer geek who was pretty straight-laced. I think mostly it's because I seem to have little to no artistic talent, and tattoos allow me to have others express their artistic talent on my skin. I also think it is part of my Aquarius influence! Some people ask me why I am into tattoos and not piercings (other than traditional ones in my ears) - after having many people I know relate stories about having various piercing get infected, caught on things, and/or ripped out, I figure tattoos are much safer in the pain department - they only hurt once! And personally, I don't really find that they hurt that much. I actually find the repetitive motion of the needles soothing, kind of like a massage! I've actually fallen asleep during some of my tattoos! Perhaps I'm slightly crazy....

Here's a good pic showing 5 of my 6 tattoos (can't see the one on my ankle). The picture looks kinda funny because I took it myself with a remote. It's hard to take pics of your own tattoos when most of them are on your back! :)
