Varadero - March 2007 - Around Varadero

We got tired of the all-inclusive buffet food pretty quickly, so we wandered around town a fair bit looking for restaurants. As usual, we visited El Rancho, but we also tried out several other restaurants, including the somewhat fancy El Retiro inside Parc Josone. We took a few trips downtown for shopping and general sightseeing, and out of our many cab rides two were in 'old american' convertibles! One of the interesting things I noticed was that almost all the buildings on the main street had been painted in the last year - and all bright colours! Definitely looking like a Caribbean tourist town now!
